He was 81 and a native of Bogalusa. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at First Christian Church, 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Elmore. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Survived by wife, Leona Rabelais Pollock, Hammond; a daughter, Diana P. Mowen, Mandeville; a son, Robert A. Pollock, Hammond; three sisters, Theodosia P. Ricard, Rio Linda, Calif., Violet P. Brown, Salt Lake City, and Winona P. Mitchell, Bogalusa; three stepdaughters, Carolyn Major, Bogalusa, Jennifer Reid, Atlanta, and Diane Girardot, Chadds Ford, Pa.; and five grandchildren, Kate and Paul Major, Andrew and Charles Reid and Austin Giaradot. Preceded in death by first wife, Minerva Monroe Pollock; and parents, James and Ada Gonzales Pollock. He was a member of , and First Christian Church, Hammond, Telephone Pioneers and American Legion Post in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Organ Fund at First Christian Church, 305 E.
