He was born Sunday, Jan. 25, 1970, in Bogalusa. He worked in sales at Hanks Car Care. Surviving are his wife, Betsy Moss Powe; two sons, Joshua Moss and Jordan Powe; brother, Kenny Powe; mother and stepdad, Dorothy and Jimmy Corkern; mother and father-in-law, Marge and Jim Moss; nieces, Ashleigh, Danica and Haley; and nephew, Hunter. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Leon Powe; grandparents, Louis and Gussie Rester Pow and Estus and Evelyn Jones Sharp. Friends will be received at Harvest World Outreach Ministry, Hammond, on Monday, April 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Briar Patch Cemetery, Loranger. He died at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was 60, a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Kentwood. He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth B. Powe, Kentwood, and Gary B. Powe, Loranger; three grandchildren, Ashleigh M. Powe, Joshua Moss and Jordan Powe; a sister, Louise Elizabeth Powe, Ozark Mountains, Ark.; brother and sister-in-law, David and Bobbie Jean Powe, Ozark Mountains; and three nephews, David Powe Jr. and Hawk and Alex Breeland. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Leon Powe; mother, Gussie Powe Crockett; and brother, Norman Powe. A private family service will be held at a later date.
