Pregeant Jr.; mother and mother-in-law of Tom David and Jane, William and Anna, and Russell Pregeant, Julie and Jerry Folse, Madelyne Russo, Yvette Kane and the late Malcolm Pregeant; sister of Bobby Tucker, Ponchatoula, and Louise Lauter, Baton Rouge; She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was 80, a native of Ponchatoula and a resident of LaPlace for three years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the funeral services at First United Methodist Church, Railroad Avenue, Donaldsonville, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2002. Burial in Donaldsonville Protestant Cemetery. Visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway, LaPlace. **************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 11/16/2006 PREGEANT, NORMA JOYCE HILBERT Norma Joyce Hilbert Pregeant, 70, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at her home in Hammond. Visitation at the First United Methodist Church in Hammond on Friday, Nov 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by religious service. The Rev. Kenneth Bowman and the Rev. Russell Pregeant will conduct the service. Burial in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, with Harry McKneely & Sons Funeral Home, Hammond, in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Pregeant was a retired schoolteacher, having taught for 35 years in Tangipahoa Parish, in both the public and the Catholic school systems. Following her retirement, she was active in service to the community, particularly the Shop for Habitat, both as a worker in the shop and as a member of the board. She is survived by two sons, Victor Eugene Pregeant of Hammond and William Bradley Pregeant of Madison, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Lynnea Godfriaux Pregeant; two sisters, Marlene Quinn of Hammond and Frances Sue Lee of Jackson, Miss.; sister-in-law, Wendy Hilbert; brother-in-law, Russell Pregeant; and special niece, Rhonda Quinn. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Buddy" Pregeant; her mother, Margaret Saling Hilbert; and a brother, Jerry Joe Hilbert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Oaks Hospice, P.O.
