He was 76 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Kentwood United Methodist Church, Kentwood, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Fred Moore. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by his wife, Irene McCain Prest, Kentwood; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Prest and Gerald Broussard, Kentwood, and Carol Prest and Timothy Simmons, Verda; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Broussard, Jason Broussard, Jon Broussard, Jenny Broussard, Jill Simmons, Matthew Simmons and Jacob Simmons; and a brother, Robert E. Prest III, Empire. Preceded in death by parents, Robert E. Jr. and Lydia Willis Prest; a brother, Sam Prest; and a sister, Lydia Prest Loritsch.
