PRESTON, CLARENCE
New Orleans - Clarence Preston, 94, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at
Chalmette Medical Center. He is survived by one son, Clarence Preston Jr.
of New Orleans; two daughters, Pinkey Horton of Seattle and Beverly Preston
of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and
Pinkey Preston; three sons, Willie, Albert and Jackie Boy Preston; and one
daughter, Ethel Preston. Visitation will be Friday at Richardson Funeral
Home, Amite, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Raymond Foster will conduct the
funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. Mount Zion Baptist Church, Montpelier. Burial
will be in the church cemetery.

PRESTON, CLYDE SR.
Kentwood - Clyde Preston Sr., 72, died Saturday, June 14, 2003.  He is
survived by his wife, Willie Grant Preston; two sons, Clyde Preston Jr. and 
Tryone Preston; two daughters, Wanda Angeles and Cynthia Preston; two
sisters, Eva Preston and Vaniecy Hudson; 11 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and three
children.  The Rev. Joseph Ricard Sr. will conduct the funeral Saturday at
Greater Refuge Temple Ministries, Amite, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount
Zion Cemetery.  Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge.

PRESTON, WALTER 
A transit operator and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Wednesday, Nov.
16, 2005, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 75, a U.S. Army
veteran of the Korean War and a native of Hammond. He is survived by two
daughters, Carmen and Lynn Preston; a son, Walter Britt Preston; sister,
Lucille Preston Johnson; two brothers, Curtis and Samuel Preston; two
grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife,
Gladys Preston; and a daughter, Margo Preston. Visiting at Rhodes United
Fidelity Funeral Home, 2929 Scenic Highway, on Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 
8 a.m. until service at 9 a.m. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery
in Port Hudson.
