PRESTON-COLLINS, EVA
A native of Amite, she died at 7:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at Our 
Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 94 years
old. Religious service will be held at Leonard Chapel AME Church, Amite, 
Saturday, Nov. 19, conducted by N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond. Viewing 
will be from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. She is survived by a daughter, 
Frankie Nell Butler Briggs; grandson, Tyrus Christopher Briggs; sister, 
Vaniecy Hudson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in 
death by her parents, William and Toby Banks Preston; sister, Fannie 
Preston Belton; and brother, Clyde Preston. Special thanks to her 
caregiver, Lizzie Roach.
