He was a native of Lincoln County, Miss., a retired truck driver for Matlack Chemical Co. and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Ann Savell Prestridge, Walker; five sons, Michael Laron Prestridge, New Orleans, Donald Wayne and Barry Lee Prestridge, Natchez, Miss., Rufus W. Heyse, Walker, Reggie Lee Heyse, Gonzales; five daughters, Joanne Prestridge Sauceman, Prairieville, Lynn Prestridge and Tammy Gendron, LaPlace, Carol Cormier and Helen Marie Heyes, Walker; brother, William L. Prestridge, Gonzales; two sisters, Betty Vierhout, Amite, Charlotte Fitts, El Dorado, Ark.; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His parents, Clifford Lee and Jessie Lee Johnson Prestridge, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Catchings Funeral Home, McComb, Miss., Friday from 2 p.m. until the funeral at 5. The Rev. John Thomas will conduct the service, and burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery, Lincoln County. ***************************************************************************
