PRUDHOMME, CATHERINE COWEN
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 in the
Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Catherine Cowen
Prudhomme, 94, who died Tuesday evening at Christus St. Frances Cabrini
Hospital in Alexandria, LA.  Fr. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael
the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley, will officiate for the service.
Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Crowley.
Visitation will be observed from 9 a.m. Friday until service time.  Mrs.
Prudhomme was born in Pontchatoula on April 4, 1913. After graduating
from high school there, she worked in several locations in Louisiana as a
Western Union Telegraph operator. She transferred to Eunice in the early
1930s where she married and began her family. In 1949, she and her family
moved to Crowley where she resided until 1982. She then moved to Lafayette
until 1998 at which time she moved to Pineville where she resided until her
death.  Mrs. Prudhomme is survived by three sons, Thomas Prudhomme of Lake
Charles, Everett and Michael Prudhomme, both of Pineville; a sister Evelyn
Dillon of New Orleans; five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Coley Prudhomme, her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Cowen and two sisters, Bernice C. Manale and
