Guy John Puma Jr., 89 and a resident of Hammond, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. Guy was born on Thursday, July 4, 1918, in Amite, He was a retired residential contractor. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Mary Russo Puma; daughter and son-in-law, Antoinette Puma Skiffington and Dennis Skiffington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Michael Puma and Dona Jane Kent Puma, and Larry Puma and Glenva Varnell Puma; daughter, Rosemary Puma Furca; son-in-law, William "Bill" Chaucer; sister, Lily Puma Scalia; brother, Salvadore Puma; 13 grandchildren, Michael Puma, Guy Puma lV, John Skiffington, Denny Skiffington, Michael Skiffington, Michael Wayne Puma, Skye Kent Puma, Cindy Chaucer Spears, Brad Chaucer, Allison Thomas, Aliscia Oglesbee, Brennan Furca and Brittney Furca; and 14 great-grandchildren.
