RACHELL, NOEL LYNN, SR.
Firefighter Noel Lynn Rachell, Sr., age 49, died on Nov. 8, 2009 at North
Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was a native and resident of Albany; a
retired truck driver; and a firefighter with Albany Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Brenda Howell Rachell, Albany; son
and daughter-in-law, Noel, Jr. and Tiffany Rachell, Albany; daughter and
son-in-law, Nicole and Corey Skinner, Nacogdoches, TX; father and
step-mother, Leon and Billie Rachell; mother, Joean Rachell ; 2 sisters,
Dawn Wiltberger, Round Lake, Illinois, and Evelyn DeAngelo, Hurley, MS; 2
grandchildren, Conner Skinner and Shedrick "Chad" Rachell; and numerous
half siblings, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his
brother, Joel Rachell. Family, friends, and fellow firefighters are invited
to the visitation at Geisler Funeral Home of Albany on Wednesday, Nov. 11,
2009 from 6 until 9 pm. Further visitation on Thursday at the funeral home
after 8:30 am until the service at 11 am. Interment with firefighter honors
will follow in Bankston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the Noel Lynn
Rachell, Sr., memorial fund account has been set up at Hancock Bank .
Donations may be made at any Hancock Bank, the Albany Fire Department, or
Geisler Funeral Home.
