RAFTERY, PATRICK H., JR.
Patrick H. "The Colonel" Raftery, Jr. passed away on Thursday, April 3,
2008.  He was 86 years of age and a resident of Loranger, LA.  Husband of
Lois Raftery. Father of Gay Wilson, Santa Clarita, CA, Mimi Kelly, Harahan,
LA, Jackie Richard, Metairie, LA and Michele Lucas, Denver, CO and brother
of Kathyleen Raftery. Also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-
grand children.  He was preceeded in death by his son Patrick H. Raftery,
III. parents; Patrick H. Raftery Sr., and Marie Steinlager Raftery.  Mr.
Raftery was an Army Air Corps veteran and retired from the Air Force
Reserves as a Lt. Col. He served his country in WWII. He was the retired
owner of the Raftery Elevator Company in New Orleans.  Relatives and
friends of the family will be received at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic
Church in Tickfaw, on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m.  Services will
be held at 11:00 at with Rev. Cayet Mandriacino officiating.  Interment
will follow in the Loranger Community cemetery.  In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to Beacon of Hope, 145 Robert E Lee BLvd Suite 210
