RAGER, ALBERT W., SR. 
A native of Nanty Glo, Pa., he died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at his home in
Vacherie. Mr. Rager was a retired deputy with the St. James Parish
Sheriff's Office. He was also a U.S. Marine veteran and former security
guard for Guardsmark. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-
grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his soul mate and wife,
Jeanette D. Rager of Vacherie; two daughters and spouses, Bonnie and John
Papageorge of Seminole, Fla., and Cindy and Mark Ledet of Ponchatoula; son,
Albert W. Rager Jr. of Vacherie; stepchildren, Kenneth W. Davis and spouse
June of Virginia, Teressa M. Wolf and spouse Tyson of Clover, S.C., Rita N.
Gale and John C. Bailey, both of Steens, Miss.; 12 grandchildren, Blazze
and Ross Ledet, Blade Rager, Kenneth Davis Jr., Johnny Bailey, Derek,
Dillion, Sharon, Tina, Daniel, Michael and Shelia; six great-grandchildren,
Heather, Devin, Tyler, Erica, Alicia and Preston; brother, Harry and Arlene
Rager of Virginia; and sister, Ethel and husband Jack Watson of Nanty Glo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben E. Rager and Dora J. Ambrose;
and brothers, Buster and Bob Rager. No memorial service will be held as Mr.
Rager's wish was to be cremated and buried with his parents. He did not
want any service but to be remembered as he was in life, a family man who
loved to go on camping trips and a good friend. He will be dearly missed by
all. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Lutcher is in charge of arrangements.
