Greenwell Springs - Carl D. Randall, 84, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was a native of Hammond, a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a Pearl Harbor survivor, a Mason for 53 years and a member of Livingston Lodge No. 160, F&AM, and Greenwell Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ida Bankston Randall; two daughters, Marilyn Randall, Elizabeth Valentine; a son, Carl Randall; nine grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and a foster granddaughter. A brother, Lawrence Randall; and two sisters, Ruby Wannamaker and Beulah Bernard, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, tonight from 5 to 9 with a Masonic service at 7:30 and Friday from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 11. The Rev. JR. A resident of Independence, Cletus, age 63, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Hammond Nursing Home. He was a member of the Albany First United Pentecostal Church and was retired from the Hammond State School after 15 years of service. Cletus enjoyed woodworking, painting and tending to his garden. He also enjoyed music, but his true passion was playing his harmonica for people and entertaining the residents at Hammond Nursing Home. He is survived by his four siblings, James Randall and wife Adaline, of Pumpkin Center, Yvonne Hilbun and husband Dub, of Kentwood, Trinity Lockhart, of Tylertown Miss., and Ronnie Randall and wife Ana, of Springfield; along with a special friend, Ann Hill. Cletus is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding Cletus in death were his wife, Shirley Faye Stewart Randall; siblings, Reda Beard, Uvell Randall, Gary Lynn Randall, Opal Watson and Danny Roy Randall; and parents, Cletus William Randall Sr. and Etta Ruth Griffin Randall.
