Robert R. Raynor, 82, passed away on June 19, 2012, from complications of Alzheimers. He was born March 13, 1930 in Raymond, Maine, and was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be missed by many. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer in 1970, after serving 20 years. A long-time resident of Maine, Mr. Raynor and his wife Roberta moved to Amite, La., in August 1987. He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Foster) Raynor of Amite, La.; son, Eugene G. Raynor of Rindge, New Hampshire; daughter, Marie Armentino of Standish, Maine; son, Robert R. Raynor, II of Parsonsfield, Maine.; one brother, Louis R. McCoy, Amite LA,; 3 sisters, Dorothy Turner, Doris Tripp and Maxine Raynor all of Maine. Mr. Raynor also leaves behind grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; three step-daughters, Patricia J. Allard of Lewiston, Maine, Janice Towns from Hammond, La., and Mary-Beth Seals from Amite, La. Mr. Raynor was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elizabeth Raynor, his former wife, Marion (Towns) Raynor and a step-son Francis all of Maine. Service arrangements are incomplete at this time. She was born July 15, 1929 in Mercer, Maine. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be missed by many. She retired from GTE Sylvania in August 1987 after working 20 years. A long-time resident of Maine, Mrs. Raynor and her husband moved to Amite, Louisiana in August 1987. Ms. Roberta is survived by her three daughters, Patricia J. Allard and her husband Marcel of Lewiston, Maine, Janice Towns from Hammond, La. and Mary-Beth Seals and her husband Harold from Amite, Louisiana; sisters, Ruth F. Bryant of Winthrop, Maine and Regina F. Whiteford of Bayonne, New Jersey; grandchildren, Jennifer A. Sewell of Lewiston, Maine and Erik N. Towns of Amite, Louisiana; great- granddaughter, Grace J. Sewell of Lewiston, Maine. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Marie Armentino of Standish, Maine; stepsons, Eugene Raynor of Rindge, New Hampshire and Robert R. Raynor II of Parsonsfield, Maine as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Roberta is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years; Francis R. Towns, Sr.; husband of 24 years, Robert R. Raynor; son, Francis R. Towns, Jr.; parents Rachel Wade Foster and Robert E. Foster and a sister Rosemary Foster all from Maine.
