She was 83. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Monday. Religious services at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Hammond, at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by two sons, Michael Recatto, Hammond, and Russell Recotta, Killian; 10 grandchildren and spouses, Michael Jr. and Denise Recatto, Brian and Melissa Recatto, Dan and Debra Recatto Schisler, Russell Jr. and Susan Recotta, David Recotta, Michael and Brenda Recotta, Gary and Darsha Recotta, Gary and Shana Recotta Gonzalez, Desha Recotta, and Donald and Teri Kliebert; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Carderella Falgout, Chalmette; a brother, Anthony Carderara, Alexandria; and a sister-in-law, Jennie Recatto Carderera, Chalmette. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe C. Recatto; a sister, Mary DiCarlo; and four brothers, Phillip, Frank, Johnny and Chris Carderera. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 6/21/2007 RECATTO, SAM Sam Recatto, 87, of Baton Rouge died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at his home. Visitation at Hartman Funeral Home, McComb, Miss., on Wednesday, June 20, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from noon until religious service at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Patrick Noonan. Burial in Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, Miss. Mr. Recatto was born Dec. 10, 1919, in Hammond. He was the son of the late Gaetano and Angela Manzella Recatto. He retired as a watchmaker and was employed for 20 years by Goudchaux's. He also was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Recatto was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Addie Temple Recatto; and brothers and sisters. Survivors include a sister, Janie Cardecara of Chalmette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kha H. Ngo, Sonny H. Ngo, Son H. Ngo, Ralph C. Price, Robert A. Lenoir, Jim Lenoir, Donald D. Price and Chris Lenoir. Honorary pallbearers are Randolph T. Lenoir, Robert O.
