"Eddie" Reese, Ponchatoula; three grandsons, Eddie Joe Reese, Kevin Reese and Dorian Reese, all of Ponchatoula; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rose Richardson and Virginia O'Neal, both of Baton Rouge. George Reese Jr., age 60, of Columbus, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the OSU Ross Heart Hospital after a short illness. Born in Amite, Louisiana on August 7, 1949. Preceded in death by his father George Reese Sr., his mother Beatrice (Stevenson) Reese and his loving wife of 32 years Mary E. Reese. George proudly served his country in the United States Army six years and received an honorable discharged July 6,1976 as a Sergeant. He was a devoted man of God and actively served as a Deacon at Kingdom Christian Center Church. He is survived by his son George L. (Acrila) Reese of Columbus; stepson William "Jay" (Vicki) Jackson of Canal Winchester; stepdaughter Charla Robinson of Reynoldsburg; three grand- daughters Aila Reese, Ashley Jackson and Jordyn Rogers; grandson B J Richardson; sisters Rosa Reese, Marie Reese and Diane Dumas; niece Elonda Reese (fianc/ Raymond Taylor Jr.); Grandma Sadie Hickerson and special cousin Robert Stevenson of Louisiana; and a host of relatives and friends.
