Interment was in the Amite cemetery. Mr. Reid, a practicing attorney since 1907, was a son of the late associate supreme court justice, Robert R. Reid and Eva Seymour Reid of Mississippi. At the time of his death he was serving as city attorney for Amite and Kentwood, and was formerly city attorney at Roseland and Independence. At the age of 15 years, Mr. Reid entered the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., and after attending Tulane Law School was admitted to the bar in 1907. He served as an ensign in World War 1. In 1923, he was married to Miss Lucy Folkes of St. Francisville. He is survived by a son, Davis Folkes Reid; a daughter, Miss Lucy Folkes Reid; two brothers, Judge Columbus Reid and Horace Reid both of Hammond; seven sisters, Mrs. Q. E. Werlein, Vicksburg, Mrs. T.
