He was a native of Newton, TX, a previous resident of Jonesboro, GA and had spent the last three years in Hammond, where he was the General Manager of the IHOP Restaurant. He was also a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Albany. Mr. Chef will be missed dearly by his wife, Xaviera Reliford; three children, Bradley Gaston, Marquis Reliford and Brittany Reliford; three brothers, Lionel Reliford, Richard Reliford and wife Katrina, Wesley Reliford and wife Cynthia, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grandfather, Ira Lank, as well as two aunts, Vera Mae Watson and Louise Maddox. Preceding Mr. Chef in death were his parents, Lafitte and Shirley Lank Reliford. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Albany, on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 5:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Charles Hart. Graveside services will be held at Youngblood Cemetery in Newton, TX on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. Condolences and other information are available online at www.thompsoncares.com.
