Leroy Ricard Sr., age 67, a native of Montpelier and resident of Kenner, died at 7:20 a/m. on March 27 at Richard Murphy Hospice Home. He was a carpenter. He is survived by wife Shalonda Ricard of Texas and a number of daughters: Pamela Ricard (Independence, LA), Latoya Ricard (Amite, LA) Cynthia Robinson (California). He is also survived by goddaughter Melanie Parker of Montpelier, LA, as well as two sons: Stephon Robinson (Amite, LA), Leroy Ricard Jr. (Waveland, MS) He is preceded in death by Climon Ricard, Mae Helen Ricard, Tom Ricard, Carl Ricard, and Thaddeus Ricard. Visitation was at Greater Refuge Temple Ministries on March 31 from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral will be at the same place on April 1 at 11 a.m. conducted by N.A. James Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. She is survived by three daughters, Mary R. Seals and Betty Parker, both of Montpelier, and Doris East of Chicago; nine sons, Clemon Ricard Jr. of Amite, Leroy Ricard of Kenner and Tom A., Frank, Joseph, Jessie, Johnny, Carl and Ray Ricard, all of Montpelier; one sister, Emma Jean Taylor of Marrero; one brother, Charlie Williams of Ponchatoula; and 40 grand- children.
