Superintendent Alonzo Richardson, Jr. was born March 4, 1926 and moved from earth to glory at 3:40 pm on Friday, December, 9, 2011 at the Specialty LtCH Hospital of Hammond, LA. Pastor Richardson was 85, and a life long native of Roseland, LA. Superintendent Richardson served briefly in the military during the Korean Conflict. Superintendent Richardson began his life in the ministry in 1952. He served as the Junior Church Pastor at his home church, Roseland Church Of God In Christ for many years. Later he served as pastor at Gordon Chapel #2. He Pastored the Orange Grove COGIC and Roseland COGIC, for 43 and 26 years respectively. He served the LordÕs People until his health failed in 2006. Angie passed away October 12, 2006, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, of respiratory failure after a bout of pneumonia. She was born July 2, 1913, to Rosario and Josephine (Daratro) Ingraffia in Independence, Louisiana. She cut short her education in order to support the efforts of her younger siblings to attend school. As a young woman she was noted for her beauty and fashionable clothes. Her unique personality, sharp mind, and love of learning were with her always. She was employed by several government agencies including the U.S. Office of Rent Control and the U.S. Navy Supply and Repair Depot in New Orleans, Louisiana. She held a variety of jobs working as a salesperson in department stores and exclusive dress shops in New Orleans and Spokane. In later years, she especially enjoyed working during the elections. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Richardson lived in Spokane for approximately 50 years and was married to Harold Richardson, a local Spokane baker, but the union ended in divorce. Although childless, she loved her numerous nieces and nephews and appreciated the assistance of her two Spokane-based nephews, Paul Unger and Al (Mary) Hager. She enjoyed traveling, going to the theater, cooking, corresponding with numerous friends across the country and maintaining her houseplants and vegetable garden. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Mike, and her sisters, Tina Unger and Rose Macaluso. She is survived by her older brother, Joe Ingraffia (100) of Tickfaw, Louisiana, as well as her younger siblings, Sam (Pat) Ingraffia of Katy, Texas, Frances Dykes of Columbia, South Carolina, and Mary Beach of Spokane, Washington.
