He was 77 and a native of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Sand Hill Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Mary Perez Rivera, Ponchatoula; two daughters, Rosemary Motichek, Ponchatoula, and Sally Radcliff, Sterling Heights, Mich.; two sons, Hector Rivera Jr., Chesapeake, Va., and Julio Nieves, Gretna; two sisters, Neomi Rivera Bernard, Puerto Rico, and Carmen Rivera Torres, Miami; two brothers, Felix Carlos Rivera Bernard, Puerto Rico, and Luis Rivera, Lake Placid, Fla.; nine grand- children, Jay Jay, Jorge, Elizabeth, Christine, Peter, Scott, Tony, Tamara and Ethan; and three great-grandchildren, Jorge Jr., Nicole and Madison.
