She was 72, a resident of Jackson and a retired employee of East Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton, from 9 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Leland Durbin Jr. Burial in Second Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson. She was survived by a daughter, Jackie Roberie Wells and husband Johnny Wells of Greensburg; sister, Ethel Mae and husband Percy Bourgeois of Zachary; grandchildren, John Wells III of Clinton, and Kris Wells, Michael Wells, Reneé and Chris Melvin, all of Greensburg; and great-grandchildren, Carrissa, Caleb, Christyan and Bitty Wells, all of Clinton, and Harley, Justin and Brandon Melvin, all of Greensburg. Preceded in death by parents, Monroe Charlie and Johnnie Lucille Manchester Williams; husband, Horace Roberie; two brothers, Bobby James and Martin Williams.
