ROBY, ELLIS JOSEPH, SR.
Ellis Joseph Roby Sr., 85 years old of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away, 
Friday, November 8, 2013, at his home. He was born on Sunday, May 13, 1928, 
in New Orleans, La., son of the late Sidney Roby and the late Celine 
Vicknar Roby. Surviving are wife, Norma Bardwell Roby, daughter & son-in-
law, Shirley and Dickie Cappel, son & daughter-in-law, Ellis "Joey" Roby 
Jr. and Laura Roby, grandchild and spouse, Bryan and Erin Cappel, 
grandchild & spouse, Kyle and Jennifer Cappel, grandchildren, Melinda Roby 
and Jessica Roby, great-grandchildren Jack Cappel, Benjamin Cappel and 
Stella Cappel, brother, Stanley Roby and brother and sister-in-law, Ralph 
and Sylvia Roby. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Francis Jennings 
and Estella LeBlanc. Friends will be received Monday, November 11, 2013 
from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - 
Ponchatoula. Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - 
Ponchatoula, Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:00 am, with Bro. Toby Pittman 
officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery Robert, 
Louisiana.

ROBY, THE REV. ROBERT LEE
A native of Toledo, Ohio, and a resident of Roseland, he died Saturday,
July 7, 2001, at his home. He was 58. Visiting at New Day Christian Center
in Walker on Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., with religious services at 
6 p.m. Graveside services at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Potter's Field in
Walker. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Tabor Roby of Roseland; three
daughters, Rosa Lee Holmes of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Rebecca Marie Rider of
Terrytown, and Christine Danielle Labatut of Baker; a son, Marc Joseph
Labatut of Jetta, Saudi Arabia; a brother, James Charles Roby of
Waterville, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Jacqueline Elizabeth Holmes, 
Frederick William Holmes, Haley Rebecca Labatut and Hannah Danielle
Labatut. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Dewey and Carol
Mae Southward Roby; and a granddaughter, Serah Elizabeth Holmes. Harry 
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, in charge of arrangements.
