Owner and President of H. Rocker Electric Company, Henry Octave Rocker Jr., 73, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Landmark Nursing Home, Hammond. A native of New Orleans, he was a longtime resident of Metairie before retiring to Hammond. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and Men of Providence and Paul E. Boyd Marine Corp. Detachment. He was a U.S. Marine who served his country during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Alberta Ruth Stigler Rocker; two sons, Henry Albert Rocker and Michael Alan Rocker; five daughters, Mary R. Gramlich, Peggy R. Wilson, Kim R. Edwards, Judy R. Vitrano and Pamela R. Wesley; one brother, Dr. Raymond Rocker; two sisters, Mildred R. Lipps and Lillian R. Broussard; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one son, David Patrick Rocker; and his parents, Henry and Stella Quinn Rocker. Visitation will be today at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 until Mass at 11 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Milton Reisch. Burial will be in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 3636 S.
