Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta. Officiating was her son, Larry Rocquin. Mrs. Rocquin was born January 10, 1922 in Temple, TX and passed away September 8, 2009. Lillian was a wife of 69 years and a mother. She was the owner of E. L. Rocquin Florist and Greenhouses in Metairie, LA for over 30 years and served as a National designer and commentator at Florist conventions. Lillian later ran Pine Island Greenhouses in Ponchatoula, LA. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Ponchatoula. Lillian retired after Katrina and has enjoyed caring for her husband, Elsas. She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Stribling. Survivors include her husband, Elsas Rocquin; daughters, Elsa Mims and husband, Jack, and Julie Huckabay and husband, Pugh; son, Larry Rocquin and wife, Rinalda; sister, Cathy Scandurro and husband, D.J.; 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sonny Huckabay, Reed Huckabay, David Huckabay, Corey Rocquin, Patrick Pattison, Pugh Huckabay, and Jack Mims. We would like to thank Agape Hospice and our sitters, Hattie, Gloria, Mariah, Rose and Myra for their excellent care.
