She was 72, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington for 38 years. She was primarily a homemaker, but along with her husband, Van, owned the Soundtrak Records store from 1973-1988. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Elton Van de Grift Rodick; and parents, Merwin L. and Alma Clark Victory. She is survived by her children, Linda R. Fussell and husband Ernie of Covington, Nancy R. Brewer of Hammond, Loren R. Barrios and husband Peter of Baton Rouge, Kenneth Rodick and partner Susie Toney of Mandeville, Karen R. Sentilles and husband Tommy of New Orleans, Steven Rodick and partner Wade Russo of New York City, Colleen R. Verneuille and Brad Verneuille of Pearl, Miss., and Eric Rodick and wife Laura of Covington. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Derrick Fussell, his wife, Nicole, and their daughter, Kelsey, Brett Fussell and fianceé Kristen Cazaubon, Drew Fussell, Jeremy Brewer, Amanda Brewer and her son, Blake, Megan, Kaitlin and Paul Barrios, Jillian Rodick, Scott Sentilles, Brittany and Zachary Verneuille and Evan and Delaine Rodick; a sister, Elaine Victory Barocco of Harahan; sister-in-law, Claudyce Rodick of Oak Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation was at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, with recitation of the Rosary at 8:30 p.m. Visitation at St. Peter Catholic Church, Covington, from 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, until funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment in Pinecrest Mausoleum.
