ROE, MARVIN
Mrs. W. T. Sweeney, 54, of Hammond, and her grandson, Marvin Roe, 8, son of
Mrs. William Roe, were killed near Independence Sunday when their truck
went into a ditch.

ROE, NELLIE SWEENEY
Funeral services for Mrs. William J. Roe, 51, who succumbed Wednesday, will
be held Friday at the family residence.  Interment will be in Greenlawn
cemetery; the Thomas Funeral Home is in charge.  She was the former Miss
Nellie Sweeney.  She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Wilton
Gerch; two grandchildren, Joe Wayne and Glyn Gerch; four sisters, Mrs.
Shelly Hayden and Mrs. Leo Haydon of Independence, Mrs. Emily Strate of
Hammond, and Mrs. L. P. Gregoire of North Carolina; five brothers, Alfred
and Nelis Sweeny of Hammond, Milton of Independence, Fielder of Baton Rouge
and Nelson of Talahasse, Fla.
