He was a World War II veteran, having served as a member of Battery B-382nd Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion. Survivors include his five daughters, Patsy Lang Parker of Tickfaw, Wanda Barber of Holden, Lula Andrasko, Cathleen Felder and Ilda Dupont, all of Baton Rouge; three sons, Charles Rolls of Prairieville, William Z. Rolls, Florida, and Thomas E. Rolls of Kentucky; 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Baby Rolls and Julia Eileen Rolls, and a son, Ivy Lee Rolls preceded him in death. Visitation will be today at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 8:30 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Kevin Dunn will conduct the service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Cooper Cemetery in Robert. ***************************************************************************
