ROPER, BENNY R.
Benny R. Roper, 63 years old of Independence, passed away Saturday, 
September 7, 2013, at his residence. He was born on Thursday, July 20, 
1950, in Wilmot, Arkansas. Surviving are his mother, Ruth Roper; sister, 
Marilyn Roper; brother, Michael Roper; daughter, April Ruth Roper; and 
numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in 
death by his father, William Roper; and brother, Tommy Roper. Memorial 
services will be held at 40092 Jones Road, Independence, LA 70443, at 
2:00 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2013.

ROPER, TOMMY WADE, SR.
A native of Wilmot, Ark., and a resident of Independence, he died of 
cirrhosis of the liver on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012. He was 64 and a retired 
construction worker. A private family service will be held on Friday, Feb. 
24, at 11 a.m. He is survived by his mother, Velma Ruth Roper; daughter, 
Tracie Annette Roper; sons, Tommy Wade Roper Jr. and wife Nicole Roper, and 
Shane Anthony Roper and wife Adrian Roper; sister, Marilyn Ruth Roper; 
brothers, William Michael Roper and Benny Royce Roper; and grandchildren, 
Chase Roper, Jada Roper, Lyndsi Alexander, Marlei Sanford, Chelsea Roper, 
Katelyn Roper, Nathan Roper and Matthew Roper. Preceded in death by his 
father, William Louis Roper.
