With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. And, although we love you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, God broke our hears to prove to us, He only takes the best." A former resident of Jackson, Louisiana and born in Bayou Sarah, Louisiana on November 23, 1923. She died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her home in Denham Springs. She was 88 years young and was a retired Psychiatric Aid III from East Louisiana State Hospital with 20 years of service. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Friday, march 23, 2012 from 5pm until 8pm with a 7pm Service. Inurnment will be in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond. She is survived by her children, Connie R. Powell and husband, Rocky, Denham Springs; Tony E. Rosa and wife, Debbie, Hondo, TX; Duke Falcon and wife, Jan, California and Sybil Johnson and husband, Chuck, Baton Rouge. A brother, Maxie H. Leet and wife, Mary Nell, Baker; a sister in law, Mary Lee Rosa Bernard. 6 grandchildren, Sgt. Jarrod Trosclair and wife, Pam; El Paso, TX; Nicole Montgomery and husband, Chuck, Baton Rouge; Synomen Hebert and husband, Brett, Baton Rouge; David Courtney, Jr. and wife, Stacey, Denham Springs; Chris Rosa, Hondo TX; and Marki Cashio, Denham Springs. 4 great grandchildren, and 2 step grand children and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, VE Leet, Sr. and Mary Dedon Leet, husband of 53 years, Samuel S. Rosa; sisters, Marie Elizabeth Neal, Mable Irene Arnold Neal; Emma Ophelia Worsham, Vivian Eva Shirey; brothers, Alfred Wade Leet, John S. Leet and VE Leet, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David Courtney, Jr., Chuck Montgomery, Jarrod Trosclair, Brett Hebert and Chris Rosa.
