Andree was born to Eva and Alfred Geismar in New Orleans, LA. on June 5th, 1929. She attended Lafayette School and McMain High School in New Orleans and then LSU in Baton Rouge where she was a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority. She married Sidney Rosenblum in 1949 and worked with him in Rosenblums department store in Hammond until its closing in 1995. Andree was very active in the community. She was a director of the Hammond Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Hammond Regional Arts Center, and member of the Louisiana Professional Counselors Board, and a member of various other charitable organizations. Andree is survived by her husband, Sidney, her three children and their families. Simone and John Irwin of Houston, TX, Cindy and Alan Golman of Dallas, TX and Kip Rosenblum and Eddie Varner of Hammond, LA. Also by her grandchildren Brent Wise, Ross Golman, Ashley and Thomas Irwin, Stephanie and David Wise, Lauren Golman, and Cathryn and Booth Farwell. Also her great-grandsons Henry Wise and Jackson Farwell and sister Jackie Toledano of New Orleans, LA and sister-in-law Sally Rosenblum of Bogalusa, LA and loving neices and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dee Jones for her years of service to Andree and to Odyssey Hospice. Services will be held graveside at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 27th at Greenlawn Cemetary in Hammond, LA with Rabbi Alexis Berk of Touro Synagogue, New Orleans, LA. officiating.
