She was born August 25, 1921, in Gonzales, daughter of the late Simon and Elmira Breaux Landry, and wife of the late, Arthur Rottmann. Surviving are her son, Louis "Beetle" Rottman; daughter-in-law, Janie Gaydos Rottmann; three granddaughters, Susan Peltier, Gerri Lynne Koch, and Marci Templet; five step-grandchildren, Nina Neal, Deborah Bankston, Michael Neal, Amanda Ripoll, and Tracey David; seven great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at the Harry McKneely in Ponchatoula from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and after 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery. She was 94. Visitation was at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Lerline "Beauty" Gueldner, Ponchatoula; a grandson, David Gueldner Jr., Ponchatoula; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Althea Whitfield, Slidell. Preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Rottman; a daughter, Mary Rottman; a son, Dennis "Buddy" Rottman Jr.; parents, Henry and Mary McCrory Hebert; stepmother, Margaret Myers Hebert; nine brothers, Tom Hebert, Veliot Hebert, Lee Hebert, Cecil Hebert, Murphy Hebert, Louis Hebert, John Hebert, Alfred Schetlar and Bentley Hebert; and a sister, Lily Fendlason. She was the owner of Rottman's Fish Business for over 40 years and a member of the Rosary Altar Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
