He was 68 and a resident of Zachary. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home Inc. in Zachary on Monday, Sept. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m., conducted by Albert Dickey. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Baker. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Inoma Hancock Roundtree, Zachary; two daughters, Jacqueline Roundtree and husband Shelly, Zachary, and Debra Kidd and husband Philip, Walker; two sons, John W. Roundtree Jr. and wife Claire, Zachary, and Daniel Roundtree and wife Michelle, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters and brothers in law, Anna Lou and Jim Meador, Baker, and DeWanna and Charlie Tate, Denham Springs; four brothers, Archie and wife Linda Roundtree, Albany, William Roundtree, Benny and wife Lyn Roundtree, Prairieville, and Tommy and wife Pam Roundtree, Ponchatoula; six grandchildren, Robert W. Dorman Jr., Wendi L. Dorman, Danielle E. Roundtree, Leann L. Kidd, Daniel P. Kidd and Zachary S. Whatley; and two stepgrandchildren, Kristine Foster and Nicole Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Renia Roundtree. Pallbearers will be Robert W. Dorman Jr., Zachary Whatley, Archie Roundtree, Benny Roundtree, Don Graves and Greg Starks. She was 89 and a native of Cottonville, Miss. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Monday, conducted by her nephew, the Rev. Ibert Dickey. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond. Survived by two daughters and sons-in- law, Annie Lou and James Meador, Baker, and Dewana and Charlie Tate, Denham Springs; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Archie Sr. and Linda Roundtree, Albany, J.W.
