ROWND Annie Laurie Rownd, 65, a native and resident of Springfield, 65, died Sunday, July 17 at Lallie Kemp Hospital in Independence. Religious services were held at the Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, with burial in the Springfield Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pablo (Annie L.) Gonzales, Baton rouge; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Rownd Pittman, Ponchatoula; a brother William "Billy" Rownd, Sr., New Orleans and two grandchildren, Jennifer Gonzales and Anna Marie Ray. W. SCHOFIELD ROWND JR. MRS. W. SCHOFIELD ROWND JR., 63, the former Miss Frances Herbert, died Monday, Feb., 14, at 3:15 p.m. at Ochsner foundation Hospital. She was a native and resident of Hammond. Religious services were held Wednesday at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, with Rev. Edward F. Glusman Jr. officiating. Burial was in Grace Episcopal Cemetery, with Thomas funeral Home in charge. She is survived by her husband, W. Schofield Rownd Jr., Hammond; three daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Lou Anne) Vicknair, LaPlace, Misses Farley and Susan Christie Rownd, both of Hammond; two sons, W. S. (Billy) Rownd III, River Ridge, and Harry Rownd, Hammond; one brother, Jack Herbert, Hammond; two grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Rose and Harry Herbert. ******************************************************************************** Obituary - ROWND, William Schofield Obituary - ROWND, Grace "The Enterprise" Ponchatoula, Tangipahoa Par., LA July 1, 1966 p.1 Judge Rownd, Miss Grace Die Wed. An elderly brother and sister, both long prominent in Tangipahoa Parish public affairs, died only two hours apart Wednesday. Both had been in failing health. William Schofield Rownd, retired Hammond city judge, died at 11:55 a. m. at his home in Hammond. He was 83. His only sister, Miss Grace Rownd, 85, retired postmistress of Springfiled (sic), died at 1:05 p. m. at Seventh Ward General Hospital. She did not know of her brother's death. Both were natives of Springfield and children of the late William Buckner Rownd and the late Tulia Carter Rownd. The body of Judge Rownd rested at Grace Memorial Epispal (sic) church until services at 4 p.m. Thursday. Burial was in Grace Memorial Cemeterey (sic) with Thomas Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. May Cooper Rownd, Hammond; two sons, William Schofield Rownd Jr., Hammond, and Tullius Carter Rownd, Shaw AFB, S. C.. a daughter, Mrs. Will Patten Richardson, Metairie; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The body of Miss Rownd rested at Thomas funeral Home from 6 p. m. Thursday until services in the chapel at 10 a. m. Friday. Burial was in Carter Cemetery at Springfield. She is survived by Mrs. Lillie Rownd Pittman, Springfield and a number of other nieces and nephews. Judge Rownd was graduated from the LSU law shool (sic) in 1908 after which he had been practicing law in Spirngfield (sic). Shortly thereafter he was elected to the state legislature, serving from 1908 until 1914. He resigned from the legislature to become the 21st Judicial District Judge of Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa Parishes, up law ofices (sic) in Hammond with serving until 1920 when he set up law ofices (sic) in Hammond with the late Grady Hungate as a partner. (sic) Judge Rownd was active judge from the early 1920's until July, 1964, when he retired after 56 years in the practice of law. Myrtle Beach, S.C., - Louise E. Rownd, 85, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at her home here. A native of Columbia, S.C., she was the widow of Tullius Carter Rownd, a former resident of Hammond. Her age wasn't provided. Louise Rownd was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Myrtle Beach and of the Peter Horry Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by two sons, John E. Rownd of Myrtle Beach and Tullius C. Rownd Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Louise Rownd of Myrtle Beach; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
