She was 72, a native of Mathews and a resident of Amite. Visitation at Friendship Baptist Church, Amite, on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Walter Mixon and the Rev. Randy Foulks. Interment in Friendship Cemetery, Amite. Survived by six daughters, Cecile Ketchum, Amite, Sheila Zeringue, Metairie, Patricia Klein, Independence, Martha Foulks and Rita Sullivan, both of Amite, and Ruth Wilcox, Kentwood; four sons, William E. Rush Jr., Roseland, and Stanley J. Rush, Charles J. Rush and Jesse J. Rush, all of Amite; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Rush Sr.; son-in-law, Jim D. Ketchum Sr.; four brothers and three sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made to Friendship Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
