He was 62 and a native of Hammond. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. Religious services at Belle River Baptist Church, Belle River, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, conducted by the Rev. William Joiner and the Rev. Darren Carpenter. Interment in church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathleen Rimes Ryle; a son, Charles Edward "Sonny" Ryle II; two daughters, Nina R. and husband Ronnie "Pye" LeBlanc of Pierre Part and Jennipher Ann Ryle of Hammond; a sister, Janie Barnes of Hammond; mother- in-law, Annie Scafidel Rimes of Pontchatoula; nine grandchildren, Joshua Dale Ryle, Alyssa Loren Rye, Brittney Nichole Ryle and Alexis Marie Ryle, all of Hammond, Kayla Elizabeth LeBlanc and Emily Michelle LeBlanc, both of Pierre Part, and Haley Renee Carver and Breanna Elizabeth Carver of Albany; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Doughty Ryle. Pallbearers will be Henry David, Ronnie LeBlanc, Mark Emerson, Chad Holmes, George Martin and Ben Rimes. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. ***************************************************************************
