SAIDLA, MIRIAM PIERCE
Funeral services for Mrs. John Boone Saidla, 21, the former Miss Miriam
Pierce, who died Wednesday in New Orleans, will be held Friday from the
Thomas Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Mrs. Saidla,
who was suffering from a brain tumor, was flown to Foundation hospital on
Friday night, March 16, from her home in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  She was
married in New Orleans last September 30 and went to Tegucigalpa to make
their home.  Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Clyde L. Peirce of La Lima, Honduras, formerly of Hammond; one sister,
Sue; one brother, Lewis of Kentwood; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. J. M. Lewis of Kentwood; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
C. M. Pierce, also of Kentwood.  (Obit is repeated, with her picture, in
the April 6, 1951 issue.)
