She was owner and operator of Amanda's Cafe in Franklinton, Amite and Greensburg for many years. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bo Rice. Interment in Ellis Cemetery, Franklinton. She is survived by her three sisters, Leona A. Settoon, Baton Rouge, and Margaret A. Miller and Betty A. Carter, both of Greensburg; stepson, C.A. Saint III, Hammond; numerous nieces and nephews and stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Saint, Jr.; stepson, David Saint; stepdaughter, Mittie Saint Carruth; parents, James M. and Florence Anderson; three brothers, Bill, Ed and J.C. Anderson; four sisters, Lillie A. Henderson, Nellie B. Anderson, Myrtle A. Dreher and Kathryn E. Anderson. Pallbearers will be Bill Carter, Malcom Settoon, Steve Saint, Sidney Saint, Glen Miller and Paul Carruth. He was born June 27, 1923, in Hammond. Surviving family includes Betty Jo Magee Saint, spouse of 63 years, four children - Ann Saint Turney (Houston, TX), Jane Saint Wicker (Oxford, MS), Steven Magee Saint (Amite, LA), Cynthia Lynn Saint Perilloux, (Ponchatoula, LA); 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mr. Saint was a life long educator, farmer, and Boy Scout leader, attaining Eagle Scout and Three Palms ranks as a scout. Mr. Saint and Mrs. Saint are founding members of the Southern Methodist Church in Hammond, LA. Memorial Services for the family will be Saturday, November 29, 2008, in the sanctuary of the Southern Methodist Church in Hammond. Mr. Saint and the family request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made the Boy Scout Troup 101 in Ponchatoula or to the Gideons Organization. He was 75, a resident of St. Francisville, former resident of Clinton and native of Hammond. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at St. Francisville United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. Monday until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Harold Babin and the Rev. Angus Carruth. She was an employee of Citizens National Bank for 27 years; a life-long member of the Methodist Church; Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and member for 75 years, first Fern Leaf Chapter, Hammond, then Nova Stella Chapter, Ponchatoula. Survivors include her children, Alene Saint Kennedy of Springfield, LA, Jean Saint Graves of Lindale, TX, James T. "Dale" Saint, Jr., of Mansura, LA and Oscar Saint of Bertram, TX; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Saint was preceded in death by her husband, James Trousdale Saint; parents, Arthur O. and Mathilda Deitsch Jones; and brothers, Oscar and Lyman.
