Mrs. Saizan was born on July 18, 1921 in Independence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benedict Basso & Martha Pourciau, husband, Whitney Saizan, children, Gerald, Richard, and Lois Saizan, and sister Gertrude Monistere. She is survived by her children Janet Lynn Saizan Jones Ridgdell and husband Ronnie Ridgdell and Randall Joseph Saizan (Glen Miller); grandchildren David Jones Jr. and wife Shawn Messer, Matthew Jones and wife Staci Recotta, Randi Amelia Morales-Sambrana; great- grandchildren Ashlynn & Payden Jones, Meagan & Brendan Ploger; step- grandchildren Elizabeth Lanier, Ronnie Ridgdell II and wife Stephanie, Shariee Hemphill and husband Benji; great-grandchildren Grant & Martin Lanier, Laken McMorris, Sidney Parker Hemphill, and Kayla & Kameron Ridgdell, sisters Euna Mae and late husband Phillip Deliberto and Evelyn and late husband Emile Pecoraro; brother Norman Basso and late wife Janette; brother-in-law Sal Monistere. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. He was born in Covington, La. Tyler was in the 10th grade and a member of the JROTC at Ponchatoula High School. Tyler was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He was a friend to many and would do anything to help anyone he met. He had many goals and dreams in life, one of them being a U.S. Marine and he was well on his way to achieving that goal. Tyler leaves behind his father and step mother, Shawn and Andrea Saizan; his mother, Chere Saizan; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Debra Slaton; paternal grandparents, David and Lorita Bush; brothers, Shawn Saizan Jr. and Damian Saizan; and step sisters, Lori, Grace and Faith Martin. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the religious services from the chapel of Brandon G.
