Survivors include two sons, Richard A. Samuels of Loranger and Glen M. Samuels of Slidell; three sisters, Louise Wall and Johnnie Lou Champlin of Loranger, and Doris Bankston of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren and four great-grand- children. Her husband was the late Glen Maurice Samuels Sr. A sister, Marie Puls, and two brothers, E.E. "Buck" Gerstein and Fred Allen Gerstein, also preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home in Hammond, today from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Loranger Cemetery. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 6/30/2003 SAMUELS, GLEN MAURICE, SR. LORANGER - Glen Maurice Samuels Sr., 81, died Saturday, June 28, 2003. He was a native of Tipton, Ind., a member of Loranger Methodist Church and of the American Legions of Loranger Post No. 255. He is survived by his wife, Freda Gerstein Samuels of Loranger; two sons, Richard A. Samuels of Loranger and Glen M. Samuels of Slidell; four sisters, Mary Stewart, Eva Carey, Anna Grant and Lylith Alburtis, all of Indiana; a brother, Joe Samuels of Indiana; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William Samuels, Paul Samuels and Ralph Samuels; and two sisters, Martha Armstrong and Beatrice Johnson. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, and Tuesday from 8 until the Rev. Emile Tosso conducts the funeral at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Loranger Cemetery. ***************************************************************************
