Daughter of the late Albert W. and Anne Patten Albee. Surviving are one daughter, Laurel (Jessie L.) Hamby of Hammond, Louisiana, and five sons, Michael L. Albee of Anahiem, CA, Richard (Brenda) Paradis of Walterboro, S.C., Daniel F. Sanborn of Oglethorpe, GA, Stephen D. Sanborn of Hammond, Louisiana, and Timothy J. Sanborn of Bryson City, N.C. She leaves a sister, Ada Chapman of Plainville, CT, and a brother, John (Dianna) Albee of Leesburg, FL. She leaves 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Sanborn, her parents and a brother, David A. Albee Sr. She was affiliated with Boy Scouts of America for 23 years as a den leader coach in this area. She managed senior citizen apartment complexes. She owned a day care in the Gainesville, GA, area for many years. She served a tour with Vista of America and most recently was a case manager at Tangi Cares. She served as a volunteer for numerous groups for the needy and sewed care bags and stuffed animals for them as well. There will be no viewing of her body, but there will be a memorial service at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 14602 Jericho Road on Highway 51 in Hammond, LA, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006. Her body was donated to LSU Medical Center. Donations may be sent to American Cancer Society. ******************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 6/05/2001 SANBORN, WILLIAM William "Bill" Sanborn, 70, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, New Orleans. He was a well-known bowler in the Hammond area. His remains were donated to the Louisiana State University Medical Research. He is survived by his wife, Alyce Albee Sanborn of Hammond; one daughter, Laurel Hamby of Hammond; five sons, Michael Albee of Arlington, Wash., Richard W. Paradis of Walterboro, S.C., Daniel Sanborn of Oglethorp, Ga., and Stephen and Timothy Sanborn, both of Robert; two sisters, Dorothy Jean of Center Barnstead, N.H., and Barbara Brooks of Bellows Falls, Vt.; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marion Sanborn; one sister, Eleanor Tibbetts; and three brothers, Robert, David and Thomas Sanborn. There will be a remembrance service Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rainbow Acres Community Room in Albany. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetic Association, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
