Jack G. Sandefur passed away at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at North Oaks Regional Medical Center in Hammond. He was 70, born July 8, 1935, in Shelby County, Ind., and was a resident of Livingston. He was a retired truck driver, served our country in the U.S. Navy and Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Albany. Visiting at James Chapel United Methodist Church, Holden, on Thursday, Dec. 29, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mark Lubbock. Interment in James Chapel Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Isaacson of Oviedo, Fla., Martie Kimerling of Nashville, Tenn., Melissa Ryan of Oviedo and Maria Kane of Suffolk, Va.; son, Robert F. Sandefur of Indianapolis; sister, Darlene Snyder of North Vernon, Ind.; brother, Donald Sandefur of Greensburg, Ind.; a special friend whom he thought of more as his own daughter, Karen Hoyt of Livingston; 16 grand- children and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olive J. and Clarence Sandefur; daughter, Patricia Sandefur; and two brothers, James "Jim" Sandefur and Edward Ahaus. Arrangements by Seale Funeral Service, Denham Springs. ******************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 11/09/2000 SANDEFUR, ROSA MAE ALBANY - Rosa Mae Sandefur, 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at her son's home in Hammond. She was a native of Albany and a member of New Life Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Milton, Albany; two sons, C.W. Sandefur, Hammond, Tommy Sandefur, Albany; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband, Charles "Charlie" Sandefur; five brothers, Walter, Wesley, Vivian, Ellis and Lucius White; a sister, Lillie Hutchinson; one grandson and one great-granddaughter, preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, tonight from 6 to 9 and Friday from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10.
