A resident of Loranger, she died at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at St. Helena Parish Hospital, Greensburg. She was 84 and a native of Battyville, Ky. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 p.m. until religious services at 7 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Frank Danley. Interment in Corinth Cemetery, Corinth, Ky. Survived by a daughter, Bessie Anderson, Loranger; four granddaughters, Bridget Basso, Loranger, Beth Schmitt, Amite, Cynthia Roberts, Kansas City, Mo., and Marsha Lay, Corinth; two grandsons, Jimmy Roberts and Richard Roberts, both of Maysville, Ky.; and seven great-grandchildren, Bailey Basso, Misty Dawn Baker, Mendy Baker, Michael Schmitt Jr., Hillary Kirschbaum, Christy Lay and Josh Lay.
