SANFORD, SANDRA LEE "SANDY BABY" 
A native of Independence, she died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at
Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 44. Visiting at St.
James Baptist Church, 1105 N. 44th St., from 9 a.m. until religious service
at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Wilford Fontonet. Interment in
Public Cemetery. She is survived by five daughters, Tonya, Ashley, Deneria,
Juanita and Shanika Sanford, all of Baton Rouge; son, Terrence Sanford,
Baton Rouge; fiancé, James Whitener, Baton Rouge; and a sister, aunt,
great-aunt, brother and 13 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents
and a son, brother and sister. Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary, is in
charge of arrangements.
