SCALLON, LOUIS JOSEPH SR. 

COTEAU HOLMES - Louis Joseph Scallon Sr., 66, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, 
at his home. He was a native of Mansura, recently employed with the Lemoine 
Co., previously worked for Hammet Co. and worked for Scallon Bros. Construction. 
He is survived by his wife, Melba Bourque Scallon of Coteau Holmes; four sons, 
Louis Scallon Jr., Brady Scallon and Jason Bourque, all of Coteau Holmes, and 
Wayne Scallon of Hammond; one stepson, Michael Barrie of Florida; three 
daughters, Susan Scallon and Veronica "Vickie" Strickland, both of Hammond, 
and Wanda Thompson of Folsom; two brothers, Sheldon Scallon of Chalmette 
and Emerick Scallon of Seattle; three sisters, Theresa Norman of Harahan, Della 
Ducote and Lena Scallon, both of Hesmer; and eight grandchildren. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Josephine Beauclair Scallon; two 
brothers, Aaron "Coon" Scallon and Claude "T.T." Scallon; and one grandchild. 
Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. until the funeral at Evangeline Funeral Home, 
St. Martinville. Tony Ronsonet will conduct the service.
