SCHAFF, THEO
Theo Schaff, 93, a lifelong resident of Berwick, passed away Wednesday, May
16, 2007, at Patterson Health Care in Patterson. Theo was a Catholic by
faith and was born May 4, 1914. She was a registered nurse and a graduate
of Chamberlin Rice Hospital in Natchez, Miss. Theo was a faithful member of
St. Stephens Catholic Church and the AARP. Theo is survived by her son,
Robert and wife Rosemary Schaff of Bayou Vista; daughter, Donna Duplantis
of Berwick; brother, Lester Cooper of Natalbany; four grandchildren, Robert
Schaff Jr., John Schaff, Dana Boudreaux and Beth Wilson; and six great-
grandchildren, Donnie Boudreaux, Dustin Boudreaux, Caroline Wilson, Luke
Wilson, Matthew Schaff and Katelyn Schaff. Theo was preceded in death by
her husband of 70 years, Leonard Schaff; her parents, Jerome and Donnie
Cooper; a grandson, Chris Duplantis; four brothers, Jerome, Wilfred, Robert
and Harold Cooper; and a son-in-law, Rodney Duplantis. A time of
remembrance and reflection at Hargrave Funeral Home, Morgan City, was on
Thursday, May 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continues on Friday from 9 a.m.
until funeral service at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Berwick
Cemetery.
