Albert John Schexnayder Jr., 88, a native of Pointe Coupee and resident of Central, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He served with the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Mr. Schexnayder retired from Allied Chemical in Baton Rouge and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 3331 and a longtime parishioner of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel Friday, Dec. 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be his eight grandsons. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survivors include five daughters, Paula S. Burdine, of Laplace, Alexis S. and Randy West, of St. Francisville, Adrienne S. and Charlie Jackson, of New Roads, Marie S. and Donnie Labello, of Satsuma, and Collette S. and Zeke Waters, of St. Maurice; a son, Albert "Johnny" III and Eileen Schexnayder, of Ponchatoula: two brothers, Ovide "Bill" Schexnayder, of Walker, and Gerald and wife Garnet Schexnayder, of Houma; grandchildren, Monica D'Antoni, Marlene Scott, Cheryl Nevils, Westly "Beau" and Brian West, Greg and Jason Schexnayder, Joy Dardar, Ginny Langlois, C.J. Jackson, Dr. Nicholas, Jesse and Brady Labello, Jeanie Schexnayder, Marisa LeCour, Brianna and Devyn Rose; and 18 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Netta Wilson Schexnayder; a daughter, Courtney S. Rose; a son, Charles William "Willie" Schexnayder; and five sisters and three brothers. The family would like to thank Dr. Nelson and the staff of PACE of B. R. and the wonderful staff on the 600 and 700 halls of St. Clare Manor. He was 82, a native of Union and a resident of Kentwood. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a deacon and member of Chesbrough Baptist Church. Mr. James Earl Schexnayder Jr., 66 years old of Loranger, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, in Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center. He was born Sunday, Dec. 22, 1940, in New Orleans, son of the late James E. Sr. and Rita Olivier Schexnayder. Surviving are his wife, Sheilah Louque Schexnayder; two sons, James E.
