A resident of Kentwood, she died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at
her home. She was 48, born Dec. 6, 1960, in Cleveland. Visitation at
McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. until
religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Danny Smith. Interment in
Kedron Cemetery, Amite. Survived by her two daughters, Misty Dawn Baker and
Mindy Nicole Baker; sister, Bridget Barker Rusche; and mother, Bessie
Barker Anderson. Preceded in death by her father, Perry Lee Barker. For an

SCHMITT, FRANCES ANN HOLLAND  

INDEPENDENCE - Frances Ann Holland Schmitt, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 
2002, at her home. She was a native of New Orleans. She is survived by 
one son, Lawrence "Larry" Schmitt of Independence; and one grandchild. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Schmitt; her 
parents, Frank and Frances Biri Holland; two sisters, Mary Davis and 
Rita Clavier; and one brother, Ferdinand Holland. Visitation will be 
Wednesday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 8:30 a.m. 
until the funeral at 11. Burial will be in St. Rock Cemetery, Hammond.

SCHMITT, KATHLEEN KNOCK "KITTY" 
Kathleen "Kitty" Knock Schmitt, 82, of Ponchatoula, died Saturday, Jan. 10,
2009, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was born on Monday, Oct.
11, 1926, in Stanfield, Norfolk, England, the daughter of the late William
and Gladys Elise Laws Knock. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law,
Belinda and Wayne Buck; daughter, Brenda Schmitt; sons and daughters-in-
law, John and Pamela Schmitt and Robert and Anita Schmitt; 13 grand-
children; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Cherry; and numerous
nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Schmitt;
brother, William Knock; four sisters, Marjorie, Bridget, Mary and Margaret,
and granddaughter. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral
Home, Ponchatoula, on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 9 a.m. until service at 2 p.m.
