She was born in New Orleans, November 23, 1951 and lived in Kenner, Metairie and Mandeville before settling in Independence. Lorelei was a graduate of St. JosephÕs Academy. A homemaker, much of her life, she was an experienced seamstress and in recent years was well known for embroidery and custom craft creations. Lorelei was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, friend and sister. Her outgoing personality and contagious laugh will be deeply missed. Lorelei leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Richard L. Schuman; daughters, Amber DiMaggio and her husband, Todd, Amy Durnin and her husband, Paul; one son, Michael Haag and his wife, Dixie. Affectionately known as Ya Ya by her grandchildren, Courtenay Haag, Carter DiMaggio, Madeleine Durnin, Michael Haag, Brooke DiMaggio, Caroline Durnin. She is also survived by her older brother, Lawrence J. Heidbrink and his wife Betty, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore F., Sr. and Stella Cowley Heidbrink and her brother, Theodore F. Heidbrink, Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Joseph Doyle.
