SCIORTINO, ANNIE TALLIE
Annie Tallia Sciortino, 82-years-old of Hammond died Wednesday, November
22, 2006, in Belle Maison Nursing Home.  She was born July 18, 1924, in
Hammond daughter of the late Philip and Frances Pecoraro Tallia.  Surviving
are three daughters, Janet S. Milazzo, Frances S. Mashon, Carolyn S. Gray;
two sisters, Frances T. Ferrara, Josie T. Gulotta; two brothers, Frank and
Vito Tallia; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded
in death by husband, Charles V. Sciortino; daughter, Phyliss S. Monistere;
son, Joe Sciortino; and brother, John Tallia.  Friends will be received
Friday, November 24 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church after 8:30 a.m. until a
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Hank Groover, Celebrant
officiating.  Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery,

SCIORTINO, JOSEPH
Funeral services for Joseph Sciortino, 69, who died Saturday, were held
Sunday at Holy Ghost Catholic church.  Interment was in Colonial 
cemetery at Independence.  Poole Funeral Home was in charge.  A resident 
of Hammond for more than 40 years.  He is survived by his widow, the 
former Virginia Giardinella; three sons, Charles, Tom and L. J. 
"Scootsie" Sciortino; three daughters, Mrs. Nick Latino of Hammond, Mrs. 
Henry Chifici and Mrs. Frank Kramisky of Algiers; 14 grandchildren and 1 
great-grandchild.

was 44, a native of Hammond, and a resident of Walker. Visiting at Harry 
McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, and 8 
until religious services at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Zion Hill 
Cemetery, Tickfaw. Survived by wife, Elaine Morgan Sciortino, Walker; 
mother, Annie Tallia Sciortino, Hammond; two daughters, Anjel Elaine 
Sciortino, and Joell Sheree Sciortino, both of Walker; four sisters, 
Mrs. Joe (Janet) Millazo, Hammond, Mrs. Hulon (Frances) Mashon, 
Independence, Mrs. James (Carol) Gray, Tickfaw, and Mrs. A. Ronnie 
(Phyllis) Monistere, Baptist; sister and brother-in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. 
Ed Stewart, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Penton, all of Albany; and mother and 
father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Enos Morgan, Albany. Preceded in death by

SCIORTINO, VICTOR JOHN
Mr. Victor John Sciortino, 92 years old of Hammond, La., passed away 
Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at his residence.  He was born on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 
1919, in Hammond, La., son of the late Gasper and Mary Giluso Sciortino.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Betty Patrick Sciortino, daughters & 
sons-in-law, Deona and Philip Maloney, Anna and Jeffrey Wilson, Gina and 
Clay Ginn, son, Vito Sciortino, son & daughter-in-law, Anthony and Carrie 
Sciortino, grandchildren, Ashley Pisciotta and her husband Jude, Kelly 
Domiano and her husband John Paul, Dillon Maloney, Enoch Wilson, Savannah 
Wilson, Michael Ginn, Kevin Ginn, Amanda Sciortino, Brandon Sciortino, and 
Miranda Sciortino.  He is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas 
Sciortino, Anthony Sciortino and his sister, Mary Ann Casadaban.  Friends 
will be received on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on 
Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Harry McKneely & Son 
Funeral Home in Hammond.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy 
Ghost Catholic Church on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Robert Merced, 
O.P. officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery
